Careers

Build the sovereign platform with us.

Hydor Health is a small, named team. Every hire is a deliberate addition to a company that holds itself accountable to ministries, federal counterparts, capital partners, and the people they serve. The bar is high. The work is real.

What you would actually do here

The work at Hydor Health falls into three lanes. Sovereign platform engineering builds and operates the layer underneath every ministry, federal, and clinical deployment. Clinical AI safety designs and runs the THIA framework that gates every output a clinician or patient sees. Government engagement carries the relationships with ministries of health, federal counterparts, and the program offices that anchor the platform in real settings.

Engineering rolls into the Office of the CIO. That is where platform architecture, vendor selection, and the design system are owned, and that is where a senior engineer can see the work end to end without a layer of translation. Clinical leadership rolls into the Oversight Panels, which means a clinical hire sits next to a named chair from day one and shares responsibility for the quarterly review of aggregate output. Government engagement rolls into the CEO. There is no middle layer between the person carrying a ministerial relationship and the person who signs the company name.

No role is a generalist seat. Every hire is scoped to a named outcome and a named accountability path. The trade-off is honest: less optionality than a larger company, more ownership and a clearer view of what your work is doing in the world.

How we hire

The process has four steps. An application with a CV and a short paragraph on why this work matters to you. Two conversations with people you would work with directly, one technical or domain-focused and one on operating posture. A paid trial project sized to a working week, scoped to a real piece of the platform or a real engagement artifact. A written offer.

Expect four to six weeks from first reply to a signed offer. That window is deliberate. The trial project is the most important part of the process for both sides, and we want it to feel like the work you would actually do, not a take-home puzzle.

On compensation, the posture is plain. Market for senior roles, benchmarked against comparable Houston and U.S. remote technology employers. Above-market for the right specialty where the role requires a combination that is hard to find, especially at the seam of clinical practice and platform engineering. Equity grants are real and explained at offer, not hand-waved.

Where we work

Houston, Texas is the headquarters. The office is where the company is incorporated, where the operating leadership sits, and where ministerial and federal briefings convene when they happen on U.S. soil.

Engineering is remote-first. A senior platform engineer or site reliability engineer can be based anywhere in the contiguous United States, with periodic travel to Houston for design reviews, planning weeks, and the in-person stretches that anchor a remote team. Clinical leadership and government engagement are hybrid by necessity, with regular time at the Houston office and at ministry briefing sites.
